Diplomat Surfboards is an evolving international network of surfboard makers. We currently have two factories, one near Windansea in La Jolla California and one on the island of Lombok in Indonesia.

2010 is full of news! We have upgraded our facilities in both Indo and Cali. We finally have enough space at the Windansea location to manufacture SUP's and other larger projects. Our Indo factory is being equipped with a heating box for controlled epoxy curing. Japanese shaper Ryosuke Hori will be visiting our factory at Surfcamp Lombok during Feb/March. He will help our local shaper Sudir to move into Epoxy construction. We will also be going to Peru this summer. Apart from the endless lefts and ancient Inca ruins we will be looking into expanding our shaping network down there and perhaps opening another factory.

All our boards are produced to exceed expectations and evolve the surfing experience. We want to be sure that our customers will know that their Diplomat board is authentic. Therefor our boards will start coming with SBT - a surfboard tracker. With SBT installed in your next Diplomat board can you register your it to yourself and for theft protection you can actually also insure it, which will protect your board both at home and abroad!

The Diplomat, Surfboard Tracker System also guarantees everything about your board, the quality, its components, foam, fins, leash plug, cloth, artwork , along with other information provided by our shapers such as where and when the board was made.
